Dan, who grew up in Ifield and went to Hazelwick School, will co-present the daily morning programme from Monday to Wednesday from February 29. His career began at Sheffield’s Hallam FM Radio, before moving to Manchester’s KEY103 radio station. After stints at Granada TV and BBC North West Tonight, he went on to join BBC Sport. He will continue to host BBC One’s Saturday lunchtime football show, Football Focus but stop hosting Afternoon Edition on BBC Radio 5 live.
