A display team has pulled out of Eastbourne’s Airbourne for ‘logistical reasons’.

The official Twitter account for Airbourne shared today (Wednesday, August 17) that the Belgian Air Force F-16 Solo Display Team will not be performing as planned.

The four-day airshow starts tomorrow (August 17) at 12pm and finishes on Sunday (August 21) with a firework display at 9pm.

The statement said: “Sadly the F16 will not be displaying this year due to logistical reasons. This is despite resolving some earlier insurance issues.

“We would like to extend our thanks to the Belgian Air Force F-16 Solo Display team for pulling out all the stops and trying to bring the display to Eastbourne. Hopefully we will see you on the south coast at a future event

“We still have lots of amazing displays across the four days to look forward to including the Red Arrows, Typhoon, Chinook, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Norwegian MiG-15, Strikemaster, P47 Thunderbolt and much more.”
