Hide AdOrganisers said the fancy dress competition proved a hit with youngsters and the winners was Ellie Hersey in first place dressed as Pirate Girl. Rowan Kemp was runner-up as PC Bateman and joint third place was awarded to Jasmine and Katie Larkin who were dressed as Alice in Wonderland and Snow White. They all won vouchers for The Works.
Langney Shopping Centre manager Neil Avis said, “Fortunately the wet, windy weather didn’t deter people from coming along and supporting us, although it forced the bouncy castle inside. Singer Tom Fitzpatrick pulled in the crowds and Stix Drummers made plenty of noise. Allan Carter was an excellent compere and there were lots of comments about the fantastic atmosphere in the centre.
“We’d like to thank everyone who was involved or attended the event, and special mention goes to Tectonic Digital Systems who gave up their time free of charge to put up and take down all the bunting and banners.”
