Chichester rugby star helps England to world final
It’s their third final in four years thanks to a 33-18 win over France 33-18 in Treviso’s semi-final.
Tries from London Wasps wing Christian Wade, Leicester Tigers fly half George Ford, Saracens full back Ben Ransom and Newcastle Falcons No. 8 and captain Alex Gray helped England to the win in what was a topsy-turvy encounter, played in hot conditions.

Hide AdMatthews, a former Chichester RFC colt, started the game while another ex-Chichester youngster, Rob Buchanan, was a replacement.
They will play New Zealand in Saturday’s final.
Matthews’ dad Stephen is in Italy to watch and said: “All the boys are bruised and tired, but off to a waterpark today for rest and recuperation.
“They’re very happy and raring to get stuck into the Kiwis.”
