UPDATE: Elderly man suffers '˜double leg break' after 5ft wall collapses in Bognor

A man in his 70s suffered a double leg fracture after a 5ft flint wall collapsed in Bognor this morning, killing his dog.

The ambulance service confirmed the man was taken to St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester after what was reported as a garden wall blew over onto the elderly man and his dog in Blake’s Road.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “What was described to us as a 5ft garden wall blew over in the wind on a man in his 70s.
