West Sussex A-road closed 'due to rolled over car'

Part of the A27 is closed in West Sussex after a collision this evening (Monday, October 23).

Emergency services are at the scene after a car rolled over on the A27 near Shoreham-by-Sea.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said two people were treated by paramedics but confirmed their injuries were ‘not life-threatening’, adding: “Recovery now on scene.”

An AA Traffic News notice read: “Road closed and queueing traffic due to rolled over car on A27 Southwick Hill Tunnel Westbound from A293 (Portslade / West Hove turn-off) to A270 Upper Shoreham Road (Southwick / Holmbush turn-off). Congestion to Upper Shoreham Road and the A259 Brighton Road.”

‘Severe delays’ have been reported on A27 Shoreham Bypass, westbound between A2038 King George Vi Avenue (Hove turn-off) and A283 Steyning Road (Steyning turn-off).
