South Downs MP calls for ‘abolition’ of planning inspectorate
An MP has vowed to ‘abolish’ the planning inspectorate at a public meeting last week.
More than 400 residents attended a protest meeting against Mayfield Market Towns proposal for a new Sussex town on Friday night.
At the meeting held at St Paul’s Catholic College in Burgess Hill, Arundel and South Downs MP Nick Herbert said: “I intend to table an amendment to abolish the Planning Inspectorate.

Hide Ad“I’m very sorry indeed that we have an unelected body that has done so much damage and we must stop more damage being done in the future.”
