Sleeping rough is no problem for Ella
Ella Allchin, a pupil at the Summerlea Primary School, in Windsor Drive, Rustington, is one of the youngest people taking part at this year’s Big Sleep Out event, at Chichester Cathedral, on Saturday.
The brave youngster, who was touched by the hardship many homeless people face when living on the streets during winter, will be wrapped up in a sleeping bag, with only a cardboard box to give her shelter.

“This is entirely Ella’s idea,” he said. “We were speaking about homeless people and the terrible conditions they face when living rough and she was just inspired to do something to help them.
“She is a very kind little girl and is actually pretty excited about taking part in the Big Sleep Out.
“She has been telling all of her school friends about it, too. They’ve all been very supportive. So have the teachers.”
