Lisa Collard’s Hallowe’en decorations are back in full force in Lewis Road, Chichester, with her annual display of gravestones, skeletons, bats and creepy figures. To make things more interesting, noise and motion sensors in the front garden can trigger screams and eerie lights from the spooky set up. Lisa said kids love the display, but the seasonal decorations are limited to the outside of her house. “It’s all fun,” she said. “They all make noises. One screams, one moves, one shakes.” Also joining in with Hallowe’en decorations in her front garden is Kim Grant in Franklin Place. Kim’s colourful garden displays are well known in the area, and she said she was particularly touched to receive a card through her door, thanking her for brightening up the road. She said: “It read, ‘I just wanted to say thank you for the pleasure your garden displays give me whenever I walk past your house. “‘It has become one of my highlights whenever I walk into town. A happy walker, thank you so much.’ Isn’t that lovely?” Seen anything spooky, snazzy or just really cute?
