A group of young people taking part in the West Sussex National Citizenship Scheme (NCS) have raised over £1,000 in 4 days in aid of The Dame Vera Lynn Trust for Children with Cerebral Palsy (DVLT), based in Five Oaks.

The team, fondly known as ‘Team Jonny’, had just a week to prepare their fundraising events which saw them take to the streets of Chichester busking, perform a flashmob and hold a car-boot and cake sale.

A member of the team, Ayesha Godin, said: “We have had an amazing experience fundraising and are so happy about the total amount we raised”.
