LETTER: Many are angry over key issues

We now have a government that almost three quarters of the electorate did not vote for and because of the redrawing of constituency boundaries Conservatives gain Parliamentary seats on far fewer votes than are required for other parties such as UKIP and the Green Party.

Regardless of political affiliation, many people are angry about a number of isses that affect us all to our disadvantage, such issues include:

1) Being overcharged for use of such vital public services such as gas, water, electricity and railways which have all been sold off to foreigners, as a German recently put it ‘We Germans sell our products, you British sell your assets’.

2) The rigging of financial business by such city traders as the young man recently jailed for 14 years, he described himself as a ‘scapegoat’ implying that such actions as his were widespread. While ‘fixing Libor’ sounds remote it affects us all in terms of what we have to pay for things.

3) Linked with this are the enormous bonuses paid to executives of even failing companies.

4) Fears regarding the likely demise of NHS and BBC and regarding immigration, over population, loss of EU membership, global warming and the increasing impoverishment of dependent and disabled oepole.

5) Domination of our mass media - newspapers and television - by one party and even by one proprietor who can it seems offer voters to whichever political party offers him favourable policies.

6) The ineptitude of the Labour Party
