Cycle plan disturbs
I have replied as follows. I trust that proper public discussion will follow and the matter is not a fait accompli!
“I, and many other Littlehampton residents will be very disturbed at your plans to allow cycling on our Promenade, which is one of the few places on which individuals and families can enjoy a peaceful walk adjacent to the sea and beach without having to take into account fast-moving machines

“I am also worried that not enough real publicity has been given to this proposal – only a small paragraph in the Littlehampton Gazette. Many people, particularly the elderly, who may be the worst affected, do not have access to the internet.
“The proposal should be properly and intensively debated in public.
“Would you please confirm that this will be done, that this is the wish of, and for the advantage of, the majority, and not the result of a narrow lobby, e.g., the cycling fraternity?”
