Natasha Price, Samantha Alexander and Sarah Harrison are holding the first session of the Okasan Karate Club on September 25. It will take place from 6pm for three hours at the United Reformed Church Hall in Linden Road. Children and adults are welcome. The evening will consist of a meet-and-greet time, a demonstration by a seventh dan and a question and answer session. The club will be practising the wado-ryu martial art and is part of the Wadu-Kai Federation. It is the first club teaching that form of martial art in the town. All three of the founders have children who have learnt the ancient technique. What do you think? Send a letter to news@chiobserver.co.uk or leave a comment below.
