There is no tourist information office in the area, and owners of cafes and shops are often asked for local information. By displaying an ‘Ask a Friendly Local’ information sticker, the businesses show they are happy to answer questions from members of the public. Chairman of the Town Team, Erica Smith, said: “Local businesses have come to us to say that they would like to offer this service, and we decided it was a great way to show what a friendly town we are. St Leonards doesn’t have a Tourist Information office, and visitors don’t necessarily know all the fantastic things that they can do here. We want people to enjoy their time in the area.
