HORSES SAVED FROM BEING SLAUGHTERED

TWELVE horses, which were transported in horrific conditions from Spain to a 'fattening farm ' in France and were due to be sent back on another tortuous journey to Italy to slaughtered, have been saved - and one of them arrived in Findon, West Sussex on Tuesday.

LE Fun, an eight-year-old bay gelding, has been saved by Melissa Oligario of Findon. Other horses in the shipment included two pregnant mares who were also due for slaughter.

They have all been saved by members of a discussion group on www.intelligenthorsemanship.co.uk after information about one particular fattening farm was put on line.
