It’s a chance to speak to members of West Sussex County Council’s fostering team, to ask any questions about fostering and find out what being a foster carer involves.

Hide AdCabinet Member for children and families Peter Evans said: “Our foster carers provide a safe and secure environment for some of our most vulnerable children and young people. They also provide a caring family, giving children a chance to flourish and grow in their new environment.
“Being a foster carer is very rewarding – I would urge anyone who is considering it, or would like to find out more, to come along to the drop-in session.”
Foster carers come from all walks of life and from a range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. People from a variety of backgrounds can apply to foster, regardless of their marital status or sexuality.
Fostering can be either short or long-term and can range from just a few days to several years. There are also several types of fostering.
