Man found injured in Worthing street after ‘attack’

A man was airlifted to hospital after he was found in the street in Worthing with injuries yesterday evening (Sunday, April 4).

Police were called to Whitebeam Road, Worthing, shortly before 7.30pm after the man was found.

Sussex Police said it is believed he was assaulted.

The air ambulance landed in Longcroft Park before airlifting the injured man to hospital.

A police spokesman said: “Enquiries are now ongoing to establish what has occurred and to identify any suspects.

“Anyone who saw what happened or who has any other information is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 1077 of 04/04.”
