Councillor keen to push ahead with development of vacant Worthing site
A SITE earmarked for the development of more businesses in the town has taken a step closer to fruition after findings of a contaminated land survey revealed positive results.
Decoy Farm, a 7.7 hectare former household waste recycling facility, by Dominion Way, Worthing, was found to have insignificant levels of contamination and as a result has the potential to be developed.
The report states that the top three metres of the site are ‘relatively free of significant levels of contamination’ although there would be a need to deal with ground gas and provide appropriate mitigation and ongoing monitoring.
