Bountiful harvest is reaped by Rustington pupils
Hundreds of children at the Summerlea Primary School, in Rustington, have been doing their bit – once again – to help those less fortunate than themselves.
As part of this year’s harvest festival celebration, the pupils have been raiding their cupboards for food, which will now help feed countless hungry homeless and vulnerable people across the Littlehampton area, in the run-up to Christmas.

Mrs Strong said: “This year has been on par with all our other collections.
“We had two really full tables with all the food, tins and fruit stacked up high on them.”
The food was donated to homeless charity HOMElink, last week.

“For us, it’s about supporting our local community and for the children to realise that it is right there on their doorsteps. So it’s really rewarding for them to know that they are helping people who really need it,” she said.
