100 TRUANCY CASES
TAKING some parents to court over their children's absence is getting children back into school, claims East Sussex County Council.
The education welfare service offers support for parents but, in extreme cases, parents may be taken to court if they fail to co-operate.
From May 1, 2005, to April 30, 2006, more than 100 cases went to court.
