Big high street store opens in Crawley - what do you think?
Peacocks was officially opened on Thursday by the mayor.
Crawley’s previous Peacocks store, located in The Broadway, closed in 2012.
It was one of 244 shops closed as a result of not being included in the sale of the company at the time.

Sandra Chambers added: “Correct me if I’m wrong but Peacocks was in the square ages ago and then it became Poundworld, then that closed down and Peacocks has reopened where Boots used to be, a much smaller premises. Its about time we had a few high-end stores.”
Beth Jones said: “Our shops are soooo rubbish and the ones that are there don’t stock the same items as Horsham and Brighton. Let’s have a Levi store, Zara, a bigger Top Shop and some decent shops for young people and old.”

She said: “We have department stores, entertainment stores, toy stores , Oasis , Monsoon, Decathlon, Next, multiple jewellers, a book store, a plus size store, Apricot and Clarks. Seems pretty well rounded to me. Though I do agree that we need more stores in the Queen’s Square rather than more coffee shops.”
She added: “You literally cannot please the people in this town. “
