Bands lined up for Woolpack
Entrance is £5, all in aid of St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
“Woolstock came about after a chance meeting of a few like-minded individuals in spring 2010”, said a spokesman.
“In short: ‘Let’s do an outdoor concert for charity’. This seed was sown by the following responses: ‘I know a few bands’, ‘I can sort the equipment’, ‘I’ll sort the stage’ and ‘Woolpack pub garden will be the ideal location’.

Here we had a very local charity that has helped friends and family of us all and feel deserve our support. The Woolpack Inn were in total agreement with this.
“We are now a commitee of six members each with our own individual input to make sure this year’s concert (August 6) is even better and we as a team with your help raise even more funds for St Wilfrid’s Hospice. We are still independent from the Woolpack Inn, though we can only operate on the day through terms of their license and all decisions made are to maximise enjoyment for all those attending and donating whilst causing very little aggravation to our local neighbours.”
